This one starts with a great story. When a fisherman on Ngogomo hill lost his catch to a disappearing stream, he turned to coffee instead. Then inspired a whole community to do the same. The ideal climate & soil composition produced a high quality cherry, making coffee farming a more stable profession. Today, 1,725 smallholder farmers working with Buegstal Coffee, deliver hand picked Red Bourbon cherries to the station, where meticulous fully washed processing, fermentation, grading canals, weeks of careful drying all works to create everything that makes Burundian coffee shine. Clean, bright and beautifully balanced, Ngogomo is the kind of cup that rewards a slow morning. Sometimes the best things start with a little unexpected change.
