Fazenda do Engenho, meaning 7Mill,8 has a long family history in coffee. The farm was purchased in 1954 by Ciro Carneiro and soon became known for strong productivity and good crop management. Ownership passed to his son, Francisco Chico do Engenho, in 1961, and after his passing in 1978, the farm was later divided among his children. Jose9 Ronaldo has managed it since 1984, balancing his work as a heart surgeon1udying medicine in Rio from 1968with a deep commitment to the land. A major push for quality began in 2002 with new processing infrastructure, and was renewed in 2017 with a technical consultant who guided upgrades in machinery and drying patios. Jose9 Ronaldo remains closely involved and confident the farm is on the verge of its next leap in quality. For Seven Seeds, a first9ear purchase is always exciting. It brings the chance to discover new flavours and begin a long9erm relationship with a producer of exceptional quality. While enduring partnerships are central to who we are, the growth of our business allows us to introduce new suppliers to our community in Melbourne and beyond. This Brazilian producer is helping shift outdated views of Brazilian coffee by offering a clean, complex, and dynamic washed profile to Australian drinkers.
