The Frinsa Collective centres on a family‑owned estate known as Frinsa, run by Wildan Mustofa. The “collective” refers to the family’s purchasing of coffee from neighbouring producers for processing and sale through the Frinsa Estate. Wildan oversees the agricultural and processing side of the business, while his wife Atieq manages contracts and their son Fikri leads the cupping. The coffee is rinsed, sorted, and depulped on the same day it’s delivered, then fermented for 18 hours. After fermentation, it’s washed to remove the mucilage and dried on patios for 7–10 days. Java is the largest island in Indonesia, and Bandung—just three hours from Jakarta—is its third‑largest city. This is our first time purchasing coffee from this region, and our first lot from Java entirely. It carries a distinctive flavour profile, with black‑tea‑like structure and a dessert‑like sweetness that makes it truly unique.
