In 1991 Ricardo and Teresita Fernandez purchased the farm and named it Finca Dona Tere after Teresita. They grow both Typica and Geisha and the trees are shaded with Cedar and Banana trees. Coffee is hand picked and dried on Patios, and sometimes rotary dryers if the rain sets in. In 1997 they built Panamas first ecological coffee processing mill and exported their own coffee for the first time in 1998 with the help of their sons, Ricardo, Edgar and Rodolfo.
